goodbye September.

September has come to an end.

Now on to October and hopefully some fall weather to go with it.

Isn't September so cute in my Lilly agenda?

Hope everyone had a great September!

two weeks.

In two weeks I'll be in Baton Rouge, LA for the UF v. LSU game.  I am so excited! I have never been to an away game, well a normal one...I have been to the SEC Championship in Atlanta, GA and the National Championship in Miami, FL.  But, this will be a totally different experience.  At a championship game for the most part the schools get the same number of tickets.  Some sponsors and other people get tickets, but in general the two school have equal opportunity for fans to attend.  During this game Florida will be out number by A LOT!  This will give me a chance to observe the culture and traditions of another SEC university.  I am so excited!
Not only am I super excited for the game, but I also get to meet my new cousin Smith.  I cannot wait to finally meet him.  He was born on August 3 in Houston, TX to my cousin Pete and his wife Niki.  I kinda met him on Skype, but I am very anxious to finally see the little bugger in person and hold him.  He is so cute!

Me with MC and Niki in 2007 at Niki's bridesmaids brunch.
I'm excited I get to see them both soon.

I only know this because my Lilly Agenda told me. :)

Elephants are so cute, so here are some cute little babies!

I want a baby elephant!

Dance Moms.

My newest guilty pleasure is the reality show Dance Moms on Lifetime.  It is like Toddlers and Tiaras, but way better! The kids are actually talented and the moms are even crazier (if you can believe it).  My friend Tiff, who is a dancer, turned me onto this show and it's amazing!  Over Labor Day weekend, I caught up on all the episodes (not that you have to watch all the episodes to know what's going on... at all).  But, it's so entertaining...you get a mix of a crazy reality show and a competition show because you actually get to see the girls perform.  The girls are so cute.  There is no way I would have been happy about spending this much time on dance when I was 6-years-old.

My favorite character is defiantly Mackenzie, she is so cute!

Mackenzie's sister is Maddie who is the best dancer on the show.

Maddie gets the most attention from the dance teacher Abbie and it really makes the other moms mad!

*Dance Moms airs Wednesday nights at 10:00 on Lifetime*
*Check it out!*

dancing.

Dancing with the Starts started last night!

At first I wasn't very excited about the Season 13 cast, but last night was just as entertaining as the previous seasons.  I do not consider myself a die-hard fan of DWTS, but I record the episodes and watch it when I get free time during the week.  TV relaxes me because it is one time during the day when I can just veg-out and not think about all the stuff I have going on with school.

What is your opinion of this seasons cast?

I thought Kristen Cavalary did a good job and Rob Kardashian was pretty good too.  I'm not a huge fan of Nancy Grace in general (all she does is stir-up trouble) and Chaz Bono is defiantly going to make it through for a few weeks simply because he has so many supporters since he is a controversial choice for the show.  Also, I kinda loved Carson Kressley, (who for whatever reason is not in the photo above) he was so energetic and funny during his dance!

10 Commandments of College Football.

I love Southern Living!  They have come up with the 10 commandments college football and I have to say that I agree.  Great job SL!

Here they are...

1. Thou shalt wear team colors. But think twice before adorning yourself with body paint—you don’t want to be the Internet photo that goes viral.

2. Thou shalt know—and sing—your team’s fight song from beginning to end. Sure, you can “watermelon watermelon” your way through the alma mater, but not memorizing the fight song is a fan failure. (I also think you should know the alma mater...especially if it is your alma mater)

3. Thou shalt keep your language clean (unless, of course, the quarterback fumbles on fourth and goal).

4. Thou shalt support the coach. Even when his calls are questionable. (I completely agree! I also don't think that fans sound put down the players...after all they are just college students who happen to be extremely talented, give them a break!)

5. Thou shalt be respectful to visiting teams. Remember: Southern ladies and gentlemen never boo.

6. Thou shalt set up a tailgate no fewer than three hours before kickoff (six if it’s a night game). Table linens and matching huggers encouraged, but not required.

7. Thou shalt theme your tailgate food around the visiting rival. Gator bites, anyone?

8. Thou shalt stay through the fourth quarter—rain or shine. That’s what ponchos are for, y’all.

9. Thou shalt respect the solemnity of Game Day by planning weddings, births, and other life events around the football schedule. (this one my family defiantly follows)

10. Thou shalt not covet other teams’ bowl games, national championships, or Heisman Trophy wins. There’s always next year.

the most wonderful time of the year.

Football Season!

This is the third week of college football and the season is truly starting today.  I am so excited UF plays UT today in the SEC conference opener.  It is a huge game for the gators! It will be a fun day in the swamp.

Go Gators!

dress for the game.

The other day, my friend sent me an e-mail about a clothing line that one of his law school classmates has started, called Dress for the Game.  I checked it out and it is so cute!!! I definitely recommend checking out their website.

Bama

Auburn

Gators

Vandy

All the Dress for the Game dresses are so adorable!  Plus, they have dresses for all the schools in the SEC.

Tomorrow is gameday in the Swamp.  It is a huge game for us tomorrow, we are playing Tennessee. EEP!  It is our conference opener and the first really difficult game for our team this year.  I am praying that we can pull out a win!

What's your favorite Dress for the Game dress?

Lilly for the Home

I absolutely love the new Lilly Pulitzer furniture.  It so adorable!  I'm not sure I would want my entire house to be Lilly, but I do think a bedroom in Lilly would be so cute! Or if I was lucky enough to have a beach house, Lilly furniture would be perfect for that.

Unfortunately as much as I love the Lilly furniture line I am unable to afford it.  But, it's still fun to look at!!!

I am in love with this room! Teal blue is one of my favorite colors.  I love the blue and green in the bedding and of course the Lilly chair in the corner.

This living room might be a little too floral for some, but I think it's just the right amount.  Yellow is a great color for a room, it is bright yet subtle enough for a main area of the home.

To me this room does not scream Lilly at all, which is its charm.  It is classic and preppy without all the bright Lilly floral prints.  I also love the exposed brick walls!!! So cute!

This room is beyond perfect for a beach house! Blue and white are one of my favorite color combos.  It's so classic and cute!  I love the bright blue wall and the natural light let in through the huge windows! This is a perfect room to sit and read while looking out over the ocean.

Holy Lilly dining room! I don't think there are many people would could live with a bright pink dining room.  I love it! But, I don't think I would choose pink for a dining room.  I think this wall paper would be better in a bedroom, bathroom or miscellaneous room.  However I do love the large dining table and variety of seating around it.

I'm not sure how practical this chair is, but it sure is cool!  Also a perfect accent for a beach house or fun all-purpose room.

I love this chair! Orange and white is another one of my favorite color combos.  But, I'm not sure how comfortable this style chair would be...it might be just for looks.

There are many more pieces in the Lilly collection!  I wish I could buy it all.

new kate spade campaign featuring...

Bryce Dallas Howard!

I absolutely love Bryce Dallas Howard.  She is the perfect person to be featured in the new Fall Kate Spade campaign.  She was the girl you loved to hate in The Help and boy did I hate her in that film.  She was such a...well I'd rather not say what I really feel, but you get the idea, her character was horrible.  But, that is exactly what her character was supposed to be.  The one good thing about her character however, she dressed in the most adorable Kate Spade-ish clothes.  She was the perfect 1960s Jackson, Mississippi Junior Leaguer.  This is not the first time Bryce Dallas Howard has been featured in a Kate Spade campaign...but now that The Help has been the number one movie in the country for weeks her name is a lot more recognizable.  BDH is so cute and I love how Kate Spade embraces her pale skin and red hair (unlike many other brands which would never feature someone who hasn't been to the tanning bed).

I love this dress and the colorful bags! I wish I had a bike so I could look that cute riding around campus.  Although, realistically I know that would never happen even if I had this exact combo.

I wish I could pull off yellow.  Unfortunately it is not one of my colors.  But, if it was I would defiantly want that adorable jacket!  Also those pink cap-toe flats are soooo cute! I wish I had gotten them, but they sold out so fast.

Adorable fall clothes.  I wish I could start wearing some fall clothes, however the 90 degree weather keeps preventing me from wearing these adorable clothes.

BDH looking very chic in this black and white suit.

one month.

Happy one month Birthday to my new baby cousin!

He is so cute! I met him via skype, but in just over a month I will meet him in person! EEK!
I am so excited to finally see the little nugget in person.  My cousin MC keeps sending me pictures when she visits him.  He is growing so fast already.

So without further ado... baby Smith.
