Orange & Blue

College football kicked off this Saturday.  College football and basketball are two of my all time favorite past times.  When fall roles around, not only does cooler weather arrive, but so does a lot of fun!  In honor of my favorite time of year, I sported my favorite colors of fall, orange and blue, at work on Friday.  It really helped me get pumped for the big weekend.  Sadly, when Saturday rolled around, the opening UF home game was rained out.  Thousands of Gator fans waited for about three hours in hopes of seeing the Gator's play.  But, no such luck... all my loyal Gators will simply have to wait a few more days for some GATOR FOOTBALL! I guess I'll have to wear orange and blue again this Friday.

Blue: pumps // bracelet // tank // dress // corduroy pants

Do you sport your team colors and support your school's team?

3 Outfits for A Weekend of Football

Friday Night Lights

Saturday Afternoon Tailgate

Sunday Night Football

Whether you watch football on Friday night, Saturday or Sunday (or perhaps Thursday or Monday), it's always important to put together a cute outfit!  You all know I'm a diehard Gator fan, but for my 3 football inspired looks I decided to be neutral.  Cute jeans are perfect for a Friday night cheering on your favorite local high school team.  A fun sundress (paired with tights in the winter) is perfect for a long day of tailgating and cheering on your favorite college team (Go Gators!).  And of course, a comfy pair of leggings with a cute tunic is the perfect things for a Sunday evening of cheering on your favorite Pro team at a local bar with friends.  Add your favorite pair of comfy flats or boots and top off a great weekend of football with family and friends!

Head over to long distance loving to see what other bloggers have put together for this week's Friday's Fancies link-up!

What team is your favorite one to cheer on each weekend during the fall?

Florida v. LSU Gameday Looks

This afternoon is the Florida v. LSU football game.  LSU is one of Florida's biggest rivals and both teams tend to be tough competition for one another every year.  This is going to be rough game for the Gators, but it will still be tones of fun!

LSU: J.Crew wool crepe v-neck dress | Kate Spade watch | Anthropologie necklace

Gameday!!!!

It's college football season again! I am so excited!!!! EEEK! Two of my best friends are staying with me this weekend (we're having a slumber party!!!).  We will be tailgating, going to the Gator Walk and then cheering on our boys to their first victory of the year (BEAT Bowling Green!).  I am very confident that we will have a much better season than we did last year and I am very excited to who ends up as the new QB... the anticipation and excitement has been building for weeks.

Looking for Gameday outfit inspiration? Check out this post!

Who will you be cheering for this weekend?

trip to baton rouge.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I would be traveling to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the Florida/LSU football game.  Well, the Gators did not come out on top... In fact, we were horrible fans and left before the first half was even over.  I hate leaving games before the end of the third quarter.  I think if you're going to waste a ticket you should at least stay that long... But, not this time!  It was so hot, it was an afternoon game and the sun was beaming down right over the visitors section.  I got a weird sunburn on only the right side of my forehead (not fun!).  Not to mention our teams performance was embarrassing!  We didn't expect to win, I mean we haven't had the greatest season so far and it's always hard to play at Tiger Stadium... but this was pathetic!

Luckily, some of the group we tailgated with did not go to the game and were still hanging out, watching the game on TV.  So, we knew we had somewhere to go to wait for my wonderful uncle (who also did not attend the game) was able to drive right up to our tailgate area to pick us up!  During the game my aunt and uncle were babysitting my new baby cousin Smith, so they were very happy not to go the game.

Tailgating with my cousins before the LSU/Florida Game.

Despite the horrible game (for us!), the trip was a lot of fun, because we got to meet our newest family member, Smith!  Obviously, this was the highlight of the trip.

Isn't he just adorable?  He's stolen my heart!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

UF vs. LSU

Last years LSU game in Gainesville.

Lunch at Ballyhoo, next to the Tim Tebow statue carved out of a tree.

 Tailgating before the game.
Saw this LSU fan with tacky pants on!
View of the game from the Champions Club.

Mom and I watching the game from the Champions Club.

Today is the UF vs. LSU game in Baton Rouge, LA.  I hope it goes well for the Gators, but it's always hard to play on another teams turf.

Go Gators!

10 Commandments of College Football.

I love Southern Living!  They have come up with the 10 commandments college football and I have to say that I agree.  Great job SL!

Here they are...

1. Thou shalt wear team colors. But think twice before adorning yourself with body paint—you don’t want to be the Internet photo that goes viral.

2. Thou shalt know—and sing—your team’s fight song from beginning to end. Sure, you can “watermelon watermelon” your way through the alma mater, but not memorizing the fight song is a fan failure. (I also think you should know the alma mater...especially if it is your alma mater)

3. Thou shalt keep your language clean (unless, of course, the quarterback fumbles on fourth and goal).

4. Thou shalt support the coach. Even when his calls are questionable. (I completely agree! I also don't think that fans sound put down the players...after all they are just college students who happen to be extremely talented, give them a break!)

5. Thou shalt be respectful to visiting teams. Remember: Southern ladies and gentlemen never boo.

6. Thou shalt set up a tailgate no fewer than three hours before kickoff (six if it’s a night game). Table linens and matching huggers encouraged, but not required.

7. Thou shalt theme your tailgate food around the visiting rival. Gator bites, anyone?

8. Thou shalt stay through the fourth quarter—rain or shine. That’s what ponchos are for, y’all.

9. Thou shalt respect the solemnity of Game Day by planning weddings, births, and other life events around the football schedule. (this one my family defiantly follows)

10. Thou shalt not covet other teams’ bowl games, national championships, or Heisman Trophy wins. There’s always next year.

dress for the game.

The other day, my friend sent me an e-mail about a clothing line that one of his law school classmates has started, called Dress for the Game.  I checked it out and it is so cute!!! I definitely recommend checking out their website.

All the Dress for the Game dresses are so adorable!  Plus, they have dresses for all the schools in the SEC.

Tomorrow is gameday in the Swamp.  It is a huge game for us tomorrow, we are playing Tennessee. EEP!  It is our conference opener and the first really difficult game for our team this year.  I am praying that we can pull out a win!

What's your favorite Dress for the Game dress?
