Gina Made It
I am thrilled to share with you a new product that I recently had the pleasure of trying out, Gina Made It. Gina Made It is a collection of handcrafted headbands, pony scarves and bow buns. I had the pleasure of testing out a headband and a bow bun and I am hooked.
Now that I am a post-grad I am all about wearing cute ponytail holders so that an ordinary pony looks stylish and professional instead of thrown together. Gina's collection of pony scarves and bow buns are a fabulous way to add a bit of color to your pony and who doesn't love a good bow accessory? Plus you don't want to look like Matilda with a boring 'ole grosgrain ribbon tide in your hair. Whether you're wearing them to class or work, Gina's bow buns and pony scarves are a more sophisticated way to wear ribbon in your hair and add a touch of style to your pony.
I have always been a fan of headbands, after all they are an ultimate prep accessory. Unfortunately, the think ones tend to give me a headache. So I am always on the look out for cute thin headbands to keep my hair out of my eyes and of course add a touch of style to my hairdo. Plus now that I have short hair I am all about cute ways to change up my look. Gina's handcrafted headbands are comfortable and stylish... the perfect combo! Oh and did I mention you can get them in signature (novelty, grosgrain, or velvet) or leather.
Fuchsia Bun Bow (available online mid-September)
How cute is this fuchsia bun bow? I love how it makes a dull pony instantly fab! And they make stellar bracelets too.

Labor Day has come and gone, Starbucks has brought back the Pumpkin Spice Latte and school is in full swing (which also means school traffic is in full swing!). Although summer is not officially over until later this month and the weather is still very warm, it's time to start transitioning out of summer sundresses and white and into fall colors and sweaters. I am ready to get in the spirit of fall, so light layers are key. Navy, khaki and dark green chino shorts paired with a lightweight button down shirt or sweater is an easy go-to pre-fall outfit. While J.Crew Pixie pants are great for cool casual days and sleeveless dresses are easy to pair with a cardigan or blazer as fall nears.
Head over to long distance loving to check out the other fabulous link-ups for Friday's Fancies.

Football Season is Back!
Over Labor Day weekend I heading north to Gainesville for my first football game since graduating college. It's weird to think I won't be sitting in the student section anymore or standing in line on Friday's to pick up my weekly Beat T-shirt from the student alumni association. The first game of the year was against Toldeo and since it wasn't a big game for the Gators it started at 12:20... talk about the worst time for a football game in Florida... boy was it hot! But we're used to that down here, the first few games of the season are almost always at noon. I drove up with my friend Brittany Friday night and headed back home Saturday afternoon. It was a quick trip, but it was worth it to see my Gators play in the Swamp again! I cannot wait until the next home game so I can have a little longer visit (and maybe visit the new Lilly Pulitzer store that just opened in Gainesville!).
What I wore: Lilly Pulitzer Dress (old, similar), Jack Rogers Sandals, Monogrammed Necklace,
C. Wonder Earrings (mentioned here), Ralph Lauren Sunglasses
Did you watch football this Labor Day weekend?

Labor Day White
It's Labor Day which means summer is coming to an end. Although the official last day of summer isn't until September 21st, I like to start phasing out my summer clothes and slowly bringing out my fall clothes. Even though Florida may not have fall weather for a really long time, I like to put away at least some of my summer clothes so I don't get tired of my wardrobe. This weekend I wanted to take advantage of the holiday weekend by wearing my white Jack Rogers sandals, white pants and white shirts while I still can. For Sunday brunch I put together a very white Labor Day look featuring my favorite navy and white striped linen pants from BCBG and my Lilly Pulitzer Jubilee Collection halter top. Oh and did I mention... I cut my hair? Minor freak out after I did it, but now I'm starting to like it. It's pretty short (for me), but way quicker to blow-dry!
Shirt: Lilly Pulitzer (old), Pants: BCBG (old), Wedges: Steve Madden (old, similar),
Sweater: Brooks Brothers Outlet (similar), Bag: Kate Spade (TJ Maxx, similar), Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: J.Crew Factory & Kate Spade (similar)
