I love blue and white together.  Whether it's clothes or home accessories, you can't go wrong with blue and white.  Blue and white is such an elegant and timeless color combination.  I found this fabulous blue and white living room on Pinterest and knew I had to share it.  Don't you just love the white pillow with navy monogramming?  Fab!

Check out my Blue & White Pinterest Board for more of my favorite ways to style this color combo!

Pinterest: Bedrooms {2}

One of my favorite things to do on Pinterest is look at bedrooms.  I have an entire board dedicated to all the bedrooms I have found.

I love the neutral colors of this room.  Wouldn't it be so nice to have a bedroom with a seating area?

I love the arrangement of this room, great use of the space.

I love the classic and feminine touches in this room.

I'm totally hung up on monogrammed bedding.  I just love it!

I love the color-combo of this bedroom.  I could easily see this being my room.

Thanksgiving Tablescapes

I love decorating for Thanksgiving, it is one of my favorite holidays.  I love all the orange, yellow and brown... fall colors and decorations are the best!  Sadly, Thanksgiving is overlooked by many who jump from Halloween to Christmas.  But, not Martha Stewart!  Her site is full of great Thanksgiving tips.  Pinterest also has some fabulous decorating ideas (as always).

Pinterest: Living Rooms

I love looking at beautifully decorated rooms on Pinterest.  It is one of my favorite things to do online.  Even though I don't have a house of my own to decorate yet, I love getting ideas and pinning my favorites!

I love the color combo in this room and the ottoman!

iKat... one of my favorite trends in interior design and fashion!

I love the colors and patterns in this room.  Oh, and notice the picture of the elephant on the wall... fabulous! The white chair is a little modern for my taste, but this room is just so fun, don't you think?

fourth of july fun.

There are so many fun Fourth of July recipes and ways to decorate for the holiday.  Red, White and Blue are always fun colors to cook with and decorate with, don't you think?  Here are a few of my favorites that I've compiled from Pinterest, the Food Network, Pottery Barn and HGTV.

ponytails.

I used to wear ponytails entirely too often.  In high school I wore one almost everyday (mainly because I would wake up too late to actually do my hair before school).  Recently, I feel like I wear my hair half-up half-down all the time.  On Pinterest I have found a lot of new ways to wear the traditionally boring ponytail... they are much more fun!

Check out these great ponytail holders... they don't leave dents in your hair!!!

Do you wear the ponytail?

Pinterest: bedrooms

I am in love with Pinterest and have posted about it a few times.  It's a great time-wasting site, but also very useful if you let it... You can find yummy recipes, interior design tips and ideas and a lot of adorable fashion trends.  If you're not on Pinterst, don't join during finals, you seriously won't get any studying done!

One of my recent obsessions on Pinterest is looking at bedroom design ideas.  Here are a few of my favorite.

I love this neutral bedroom.  Isn't it so chic and grown-up?  Perfect for a life post-college or a guest room.

My bedroom at home is green and blue, so naturally I am in love with this turquoise and white look.  This is a youthful yet sophisticated look for a bedroom.

How could you not love this room if you're were a kid?  This is so adorable and super fun!

I love the high ceilings and chandeliers in this bedroom.  Wouldn't you just love waking up to a room this beautiful?

recipe : apple and brie melt.

This week I have really been in the mood to cook and try new recipes.  So, this is my second Pinterest recipe post this week.

Ingredients:

4 slices of Italian bread, about 1/2" thick
1 large apple, thinly sliced
4 oz brie, thinly sliced
2 T apple butter
1 T butter

I used white bread instead of French bread...so it kinda fell apart when I tried to eat it.  But, it tasted just as good either way!  The brie with the apple and apple butter was very good, but I also think you could try other types of cheese too... I might experiment with that, so I'll let you know.

recipe : chicken enchiladas.

For dinner last night Mom and I made Chicken Enchiladas from Pinterest.  The entire meal took about 25-30 minutes.  They were pretty simple, yet yummy!

Ingredients:

10 soft taco shells
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup sour cream
1 (4 oz) can diced green chillies

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Grease a 9x13" pan
  3. In a sauce pan, melt butter, stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.  Add broth and whisk until smooth.  Heat over medium heat until think and bubbly.
  4. Stir in sour cream and green chilies.  Do not bring to a boil (otherwise the sour cream will curdle).
  5. Pour over enchiladas and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake for 22 minutes and then under high broil for 3 minutes to brown the cheese.

The Chicken

The Sauce

After cooking the sauce for 1 minute it was still thin, so we added an extra tablespoon of butter and flour.

Finished Meal with water and Sangria.
