Black & White Stripes

I love stripes.  A good stripe dress is such an easy and put together look for the summer.  I have had this striped dress from J.Crew for a few years and usually pair it with tights and boots during the fall, but it really is perfect year round.  This week I paired it with my favorite white Jack Rogers sandals and a bright skinny belt.  I also added a bright statement necklace to add a pop of summer to tie the look together.

Orange Shorts & Stripes

  

One of my favorite parts about the summer is getting to wear brightly colored shorts.  I love these light weight bermuda shorts from J.Crew.  They are so comfortable and perfect for a casual night outside with friends.

wedding season.

The first of my college friends is getting married in July!  It's so exciting, but kind of weird at the same time... I'm still getting used to the idea that I am old enough to get married.  EEEK!  But, weddings are so much fun.  I am looking forward to celebrating with Sarah Jeanne and her new husband!

This past week I have really been feeling like bright colors everyday.  I think I am truly in the summer mood now that I have finished all my finals and have a week before summer classes start.  I am so happy to get a break, although I don't really feel like it's much of a break since I have to go back to school so soon...

I just love bright colored pants, capris and shorts.

trend: tortoise shell.

One of my favorite trends of the season is tortoise shell.  I have always loved it, but now it's everywhere!  I love wearing tortoise shell hair clips, but tortoise works great for other accessories too.

I got this Michael Kors watch for Christmas last year from my parents.  I wear it all the time!

I have tiny feet, so I probably could actually fit into these Crewcuts flats.

These adorable J.Crew flats come in both womens and girls.  I've been lusting after them for a few weeks, so I will likely be ordering these soon.

Bobbi Brown makeup is my favorite.  It's a little pricey, but at least for me, it lasts a really long time so I don't have to buy it very often...usually just a few times a year (for foundation and less often for eye-makeup, etc).
