Easter Sunday Attire.

Spring dresses are so fun! The weather is usually great and the sun is shinning, so it's time to bring out those sundresses.  Lilly Pulitzer is full of great dresses for this time of year and their site is full of new arrivals.

American Idol.

Do you watch American Idol?  I'm loving this season.  Colton, Phillip and Jessica are amazing and I love everything they do!  

Did you see Colton this week? He did a worship song! It was so moving.

Jessica Sanchez. WOW! That's all I have to say.

Phillip Phillips reminds me of John Meyer.  I think he will be in the top 3 with Jessica and Colton.

Have you seen Swell Caroline? It's a great source for costume jewelry.  Statement necklaces are a huge trend right now, but with trends constantly changing you don't want to spend thousands of dollars trying to keep up.  Swell Caroline has a great selection of moderately priced (but still adorable) jewelry.

graduation dresses

I cannot believe I am a senior in college.  Some days it feels like just yesterday that I was graduating from high school.  Luckily, I still have one more semester until college graduation, but some many of my friends are graduating in May.

In High School all the girls were required to wear plain white dress, but for UF graduation the gowns are black so you can wear pretty much any kind of dress as long as you have dark shoes with it (or at least ones that look good with the black gowns).

tipsy skipper flats.

I love flats, but I have the hardest time finding ones that I like and that fit me.  I like flats that are simple and cute and these Tipsy Skipper flats are so adorable.  The style is simple and they come in a variety of colors and patterns.  I haven't ordered any yet, so I'm not sure if they are true to size or not.  But, these are definitely on my wish list.

ready for Easter?

In two weeks it's Easter.  Easter is a great time to go to church with family and friends and reflect on the wonderful sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for all of us.  It's also a great time to spend with your family.  Every year I go to church and then brunch with my family.  This year Easter is early so I will have to drive back to school later that afternoon, but I will still have plenty of time at home.  

I love Easter decorations, but sadly they're not as popular as Christmas decorations.  But, they are just as fun!  Swoozies and Pottery Barn both have great Easter decorations this year.

J.Crew Factory: New Arrivals

Since it is officially spring and the weather has been consistently in the 80's I can start looking at summer clothes online.  

J.Crew has a lot of great new arrivals this week, both on their normal site and the Factory online section.  I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a new wardrobe! Right now I am loving J.Crew chinos.  They are so comfortable and great to pair with all kinds of tops!  I particularly love the critter chinos.  I love pairing them with button ups or light weight sweaters in the spring.

It's March Madness, which is one of my favorite times of year!  The Gators are doing great in the NCAA Tournament this year and have made it all the way to the Elite Eight.  I am so excited for the game this afternoon against Louisville.  If I was at the game, I would love to be wearing an adorable outfit like this one...

Have you been watching March Madness?

summer chinos.

It's officially spring! Which means, it's time to pull out those shorts and sundresses.  Not that I ever really put mine away in Florida! Since today is the first official day of spring, I can feel better about wearing all my spring and summer clothes and can forget about the fact that Florida didn't really have a winter.

During spring break I took most of my winter clothes home and traded them out for some shorts and capris.  I pretty much have to live in shorts this time of year, it is just too dang warm outside!

J.Crew carries chinos in a variety of lengths and colors, so they're great for pretty much everybody.  I have a few in the 3-inch style, but I think they are a little too short for some occasions.  My favorite lengths are the 4-inch and 5-inch styles.  I think these lengths are perfect to wear to class, the mall or lunch with friends.  The 7-inch style is great too and perfect to pair with a longer top or tunic.  Since it's so hot walking to class everyday, I pretty much have to wear shorts, but I tend to get cold inside my classes, so the 7-inch shorts are great for helping me to stay a little bit warmer in class!  I also like that they cover my bright-white legs a little more than other shorts. haha!

springtime.

It's the first day of Spring!  This means, I can stop feeling bad about wanting to wear white and Lilly Pulitzer.  I can officially pull out my warm-weather clothes without guilt.  I am a Florida girl, but I want to fallow the fashion "rules" of the seasons...which is super hard for a Floridian to do.

But, now that today is the first day of Spring I will embrace my summer wardrobe with a smile.

jack rogers.

Jack Rogers are my favorite shoes.  They are super cute and easy to throw on for class, church or just about anything you have planned for the day.  Jack Rogers transition seamlessly from super-casual to dressy.  Jacks are great for spring and summer, but also (depending on the color) transition well into fall too (or winter in Florida).  I am dying for a pair of Jacks flats, but haven't taken the plunge and ordered any yet... but soon!

green.

Since today is St. Patty's day I figured I would talk about my favorite green items that I have found recently.  I personally don't have a lot of green in my wardrobe.  I have a few dresses and skirts that have green on them, but overall I don't have many green items in my closet.  This is for no particular reason.  In fact, I love green.  If it's the right shade for your skin tone than I think green is a beautiful color to wear.  I love bright emerald green or lime green for the spring and summer and dark forest green is a great option of winter.  Although, I tend to worry about looking like a Christmas tree if I wear green during December...  But, I do think green, when paired with the right outfit, can be a great color to wear to many occasions.

trend: crossbody bags

Last May I spent a month in Florence, Italy and loved it!  With all the traveling and site seeing I was doing I needed a versatile bag.  Some of the time I used a Longchamp backpack, but most of the time I used a crossbody bag.  Crossbody bags are great for site-seeing since they are light and easy to carry and allow you to have your hands free.  Since my trip abroad I have continued to carry crossbody bags all the time... they are just so easy!
