good friday.

Happy Good Friday!  Hopefully you're having a great day and if you're lucky you don't have classes today.  I don't have classes on Fridays this semester and I got super lucky this week and my Thursday afternoon class was cancelled.  So... I headed home for Easter weekend on Wednesday afternoon after work.  Yay for long weekends!

SEC!

Once again the SEC proves to the rest of the country who the best conference! 

The University of Kentucky Wildcats won the NCAA Basketball Championship on Monday night.  My Dad went to the UK so our household was very happy that the Wildcats brought home their 8th National Championship.  (Although, I wish it had been UF... I always root for my conference to win!)

I love flats, I wear them all time.  I am so short that I probably shouldn't wear them as much as I do, but they are just so versatile and comfortable.  I mean, really, do you expect me to march around the University of Florida campus in 4-inch wedges, I don't think so!  Since I two days a week this semester, flats are perfect to wear to the office.  They are comfortable enough that I can walk from my apartment to the office (all the way at the football stadium) and not be in terrible pain by the time I get there.  Now don't get me wrong, flats are not always the most comfortable footwear, they have no support.  But, they are classic and conservative, perfect for work.

I am absolutely in love with all the Kate Spade flats this season.  They have a variety of colors and I love the color-block style.  Kate Spade never stops making me love them more and more everyday.  But, if you can't afford the huge price-tag (which I cannot) Old Navy has some great alternatives.

I am also loving Brooks Brothers flats this season.  Aren't these yellow ones adorable?

Happy Monday!  A while ago my aunt introduced me to Yellow Box shoes.  They are wonderful, mainly because they are fashionable and affordable.  I am in love with their sandals right now.

This weekend I saw Stomp at the Phillips Center with my friends Kimberly and Caroline.  It was so much fun! The show was amazing and we got a great student price of $15 (sometimes it's pretty awesome to be a UF undergrad!).

favorite beauty products.

I am certainly no expert on beauty products, but I do feel like I have tried enough different brands and products to have an idea of what I like. 

It's so hard to find nice makeup brushes that don't cost a million dollars, but I think the Estee Lauder brushes are a reasonable price and great quality.  Over winter break my Mom and I spent forever at Nordstrom trying to find a decent makeup brush for a pretty decent price and BAM there was the Estee Lauder counter. 

I have a crazy time trying to keep my face moisturized, but not too oily.  I love the Bobbi Brown hydrating face cream.  It works perfectly under makeup and has a little SPF too!  I love Bobbi Brown makeup too... pretty much everything Bobbi makes is wonderful!

As you probably already know, I love Philosophy! Their products are great and fun too.  I started using the purity face wash about a year ago and I love it!  It is very gentle, but cleanses well.

Aveeno and Jergens both make fabulous products! And the best part... they are sold at your local drugstores.  I love the new line of Aveeno shampoos and conditioners as well as pretty much every Aveeno product.  I love Jergens natural glow lotion because it gradually gives me a slight tan and moisturizes at the same time!
