Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!
One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions is the annual pardoning of the turkeys by the President. It's much more fun since there a children in the White House to enjoy the holiday traditions.
President Obama and his daughters pardoning the Thanksgiving turkeys.
Malia and Sasha Obama pardoning the Thanksgiving turkeys.

one year.
Happy First Birthday to Southern Royalty. I have officially been blogging for one year.
Thanks for following me.
Dancing.
Dancing With the Stars.
Tonight DWTS ends. I am so happy with the top three. Rob Kardashian has improved so much throughout the season and JR has a great story and has done a great job all season. I can't wait to see who wins.

Lilly Pulitzer All Year Long.
I think a lot of people only think of Lilly Pulitzer as a summer brand, but people don't it's great during the fall and winter too. Lilly has all sorts of fun options for all year long.
I got this Sadie dress in bright navy curves last fall and it works great during the summer with strappy heals or flip flops and in the winter with tights and boots. I also wore it when I was in Rome, Italy over the summer. It's so comfortable, yet can be dressed up just by adding a cut pair of wedges and some jewelry. I think it's important when making a big purchase like a Lilly dress to know that you can wear it practically year round, especially in Florida.

Pinterest.
I should not have joined. It is addicting! I cannot afford to be addicted to anymore non-school related sites. I already read too many blogs and spend way too much time on Facebook and Twitter. Why did my friends have to join and tell me to join with them?! WHY?!
Well, now that I've vented about how it is a waist of time. I have to admit I kinda love it. It is the perfect mix of all the things I love. Fashion. Hair. Interior Design. Cooking. Holidays. Inspirational Quotes. Pinterest has it all. If you have not given into the peer-pressure and joined the site, I commend you. It is extremely addictive and I'm sure that like me, you guys do not need any other time-wasting sites to help you procrastinate studying and doing homework.
But,
Thanksgiving is coming up and most of us have a few days off of school or work.
So...
If you are bored and want to fill your time with Pinterest. I promise you'll get caught up in some of the amazing things you can find on their and you might even find a new craft or recipe to try during your days off. It actually is a lot of fun!
Here are few of my favorite discoveries on Pinterest.
Aren't these Turkey Pinwheels just adorable for Thanksgiving?
I might have to make them over break. So cute!
Yummy turkey sugar cookies. Adorable!
Cookie bowls. Such a great idea.
I am obsessed with organization. So much that it's actually a flaw. I spend so much time organizing sometimes that I don't spend enough time doing what I need to do like read or study. But, this craft Armour would make me so happy. I am thinking about turning an Armour that I have at home into this amazing craft center.
Power-strip basket. This would be perfect for my Moms desk, so this is probably going to be another project over the break.
Please don't kill me if this post causes you to become addicted to Pinterest.

Harry Potter
Today the final movie in the greatest book and movie series comes out on DVD!
Harry Potter is by far my favorite book series and movie series.
I love it!
I have read all the books and of course I love the movies too. I am so sad that it's all over, but I will be watching the movies over and over.
I started reading the first book when I was in 3rd grade and now I am a senior in college. This series has really grown-up with me. When I saw the final film in theaters over the summer, I loved it! But, it was also kinda sad for me...it was a little like the end of my childhood. I cried the whole movie!
The final book was made into two parts and it was spectacular!
Now...go watch Harry Potter!

Happy Birthday LP!
Today is the fabulous Lilly Pulitzer's 80th birthday. Without Lilly's marvelous clothes my closet would be much less colorful and much more solid. Lilly clothes allow me to mix-up my typically solid wardrobe with a bright fun pattern. I am in love with Lilly!
Doesn't she age so gracefully?
Happy Birthday Lilly!

great way to start your day.
I think it's great to start each day by remember what is really important in life and taking a moment to just relax.
A little music always helps.
This is one of my all time favorite songs.
Plus Carrie Underwood is by far my favorite female country singer!
